Social Necessities Services

Social Necessities Services provides a service in which visitation between parents and children is observed to evaluate appropriateness and level of interaction. The Social Necessities Provider will assure there is transportation to and from the supervised visitation and also may intervene if abuse or inappropriate behavior is occurring during the visitation. The purpose is to assess and monitor the appropriateness of family interaction and possible reunification.

Social Necessities Services also can be responsible for direct face-to-face educational services to improve parental performance and knowledge of:

• Basic child/adolescent care skills
• Nurturing
• Discipline Strategies
• Appropriate Supervision
• Encouragement of child/adolescent care
• Age-appropriate development and realistic expectations
• Standards of child/adolescent behavior.
