These services focus on observing and supporting family interactions in a structured, safe environment while helping parents build skills that support healthy, appropriate caregiving.
Program Services
Supervised Visitation Services
Social Necessities Services includes observed visitation between parents and children to evaluate:
- The appropriateness of interactions
- Parent-child engagement and communication
- Overall family dynamics and safety
The Social Necessities Provider:
- Ensures transportation to and from supervised visitation
- Observes interactions throughout the visit
- May intervene if abuse, safety concerns, or inappropriate behavior occur
The purpose of supervised visitation is to assess and monitor family interactions while supporting progress toward safe and appropriate reunification when possible.
Program Details
Parenting Education & Skill Development
In addition to supervised visitation, Social Necessities Services may include direct, face-to-face educational services designed to strengthen parenting skills and confidence.
Educational support focuses on improving parental knowledge and performance in areas such as:
- Basic child and adolescent care skills
- Nurturing and positive engagement
- Discipline strategies
- Appropriate supervision
- Encouraging healthy child and adolescent development
- Understanding age-appropriate behavior and realistic expectations
These services help parents build the skills needed to create a safe, supportive environment for their children.
