For more than a century, Burlington United Methodist Family Services has been a place of refuge, healing, and hope for West Virginia children and families in crisis. Rooted in faith and committed to service, we meet people where they are—offering a holistic approach to care that transforms lives.
A Legacy of Compassion Since 1913
Our story began over 110 years ago as an orphanage in the small community of Burlington, West Virginia. What started as a safe haven for vulnerable children has grown into a statewide agency serving thousands of youth and families through innovative programs, experienced care teams, and a dedication to meeting physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs.
Our longevity is no accident—it’s a result of unwavering commitment, compassionate leadership, and deep trust built in the communities we serve.
