Travis and Heather Hudson longed to build a family. After years of infertility challenges, they were inspired by a friend’s adoption story and began their own foster parent journey with Burlington in March 2016.
That same night they were certified, they received their first placement — a child named Faith. Three months later, Faith’s premature baby sister, Kenna, joined the family after a NICU stay. Both girls were adopted in September 2018.
The Hudsons planned to close their foster home after becoming a family of four, but were soon called to welcome two more teenagers — who they are in the process of adopting as well.
Their story reflects how unexpected opportunities can lead to an ever-expanding family and a lifetime of love.
