Mia (VanSant) Johnson has been named Chief Executive Officer of Burlington United Methodist Family Services

Mia (VanSant) Johnson has been named Chief Executive Officer of Burlington United Methodist Family Services, Inc. effective April 1, 2024.

Johnson, who graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Psychology and master’s in social work, succeeds Chris Mullett, who recently resigned.

Johnson has been a member of the Burlington family since 2004, holding several roles including treatment coordinator, licensing supervisor, state director, vice president of community-based services and most recently chief operating officer.

Johnson and her husband Daniel reside in Kearneysville, WV.  She has three daughters and five grandchildren who live close to her.  She has two reasons for staying with the agency for 20 years.  She is passionate about our mission and the clients we serve.

“I am surrounded by amazing, dedicated, hardworking staff,” said Johnson. “I could not do my job without them.”
