At Burlington United Methodist Family Services, our mission to provide hope and healing begins with the hearts of our team. From care coordinators and therapists to support staff and case managers, every role within our organization plays a part in changing lives for the better.
Whether it’s helping a teen navigate trauma, guiding a new mom through the early stages of parenting, or simply being a steady, compassionate presence in a child’s life, our staff go beyond their job descriptions to provide care rooted in dignity, empathy, and faith.
Meeting People Where They Are
Many of the children and families we serve come to us during their most vulnerable moments—experiencing instability, crisis, or trauma. Our staff understands the importance of meeting each individual where they are and building trust through consistency and compassion.
For example, our Designated Care Coordinators in the Right From the Start program visit expecting and new mothers in their homes, providing guidance on everything from nutrition and baby care to accessing vital resources, such as housing, WIC, and transportation. These one-on-one connections make a real difference in helping mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Individualized Support, Lasting Impact
Every child’s journey is different. That’s why our residential programs, such as the Coexisting Disorders Program, tailor treatment to meet each resident’s individual needs, offering therapy, education, life skills training, and spiritual guidance.
Our staff don’t just check boxes—they create care plans, develop behavior support systems, and build meaningful relationships that help children begin to heal and thrive. They work side by side with teachers, families, and community resources to ensure that no child walks their journey alone.
A Calling, Not Just a Career
What sets Burlington staff apart is their dedication. Many say their work isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. They feel deeply connected to the mission of providing hope to those who need it most. It’s this passion that fuels our success and drives lasting change in the lives of the people we serve.
Whether supporting foster families, providing therapy, coordinating care, or advocating for children in crisis, our team members are the hands and feet of Burlington’s mission. They are changing lives every single day.
