Spiritual Life
Supporting Spiritual Growth as Part of Whole-Person Care
Youth at both the Burlington and Beckley campuses are offered opportunities for spiritual growth in ways that are respectful, supportive, and age-appropriate. Each campus has a chaplain who works directly with youth and treatment teams to ensure spiritual needs are considered as part of each child’s individualized treatment program.

In addition, cottage groups may participate in off-campus religious services and activities at local United Methodist Churches, including Sunday worship services.

Respect for Individual Beliefs
Our goal is to create an environment where youth feel supported, respected, and encouraged in their personal growth—spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
Our Goals for Youth
Through spiritual life programming, we strive to help each at-risk youth develop:
- A relationship with religious faith
- A relationship with the world around them
Healthy relationships with others - A stronger relationship with self
These goals support resilience, self-understanding, and a sense of purpose as youth move forward.
